Absolutely Precious!

A dear friend, who is currently in Daisey's country visiting her daughter was given permission from the orphanage director to take pictures of our Daisey. We are not allowed to post them on the Internet due to privacy reasons. But take my word for it, she is PRECIOUS! We are absolutely head-over-heels in love with this little girl, and we are so thankful that God has called us to be her parents.

North Canton Buddy Walk

Our family has been invited to participate in the North Canton Buddy Walk on September 10th. The Buddy Walk is nationwide and was organized to celebrate the abilities and accomplishments of people with Down Syndrome. We are one of the Reece's Rainbow families that is being sponsored through the event. We are so grateful for the opportunity! If you would like to walk on our team, or get more more information about the walk, the website is
Our team name is Daisey (Kenyon Family). We currently have nobody on our team because it is two hours away from us. So, if you know anyone in that area, please let them know. We really appreciate it!

God never ceases to amaze me with the way He has used people to bless us throughout this adoption journey. The country that Daisey is from requires us to have psychological evaluations as part of the paperwork that we need to submit to them. Well, of course our insurance doesn't pay for this, so we were expecting these appointments with the psychiatrist to cost us well over $1,000.00 and closer to $2,000.00 (especially after finding out that the Doctor requires his patients to come for more than one visit in these adoption situations). However, when it was time to check out, the doctor did everything he could to lower the cost. And we ended up paying one-third of what we expected. That same week two amazing Christian women gave us generous donations, which covered almost the exact amount of what we had to pay at our first visit to the psychiatrist. Then the very next day we wake up to find videos (from YouTube) of Daisey's orphanage sent from a wonderful friend who is adopting a child from the same orphanage. We actually saw video of Daisey, and I can't even begin to tell you how amazing that was!!!! I can't wait to get there to hold her!!!! Unfortunately I can't post these videos because it gives too much identifying information. However, I will give details of what I saw, my feelings about it, and ways that we can help in a later post.
